At Brit College of Engineering & Technology (BCET), we value transparency and fairness in all our dealings with applicants, prospective students, and enrolled students—particularly regarding fees and refund policies.
Enrolment in a course at BCET constitutes a legally binding agreement, obligating students to adhere to the terms and conditions of enrolment, including payment of fees, in exchange for educational services.
This policy outlines the rights and obligations of applicants and students concerning refunds and fee recovery, ensuring that students clearly understand the processes involved. BCET is committed to complying with relevant consumer protection laws, including guidance provided by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) and sector best practices.
This policy has been designed to provide clarity on how refunds are managed, ensuring prospective applicants, students, and those on a short-term study visa are fully informed. While the College cannot be held liable for changes in a student’s personal circumstances, BCET will consider exceptional cases on an individual basis to ensure fairness, in accordance with CMA guidelines.
This fee recovery and refund policy has been established to clearly communicate BCET’s position on the recovery of fees, the procedures for collecting outstanding fees, and the limited situations where refunds will be considered, ensuring compliance with consumer protection laws.
This policy applies to all tuition and non-tuition fees charged by BCET for courses provided to international students on short-term study visas and students enrolled in online study modes.
It ensures students are informed of their rights and obligations concerning refunds and fee recovery, covering all relevant charges including administrative, visa processing, and related non-tuition fees as outlined in this document.
This policy applies to all fees charged by BCET, except for national examination fees.
Refunds will be granted only under specific circumstances. A minimum of 30 calendar days is required to process a refund.
An administrative fee of £300, which is non-refundable, will be deducted where applicable.
A full refund will be issued in the following circumstances:
No refunds will be issued in the following cases:
Refunds relating to visa refusals will only be considered after an administrative review has been requested and a final decision issued, where applicable.
